IRS transcript or copy of your federal tax return for the most recent year
Where to find it: Request the transcript free at irs.gov (or with Form 4506-T); a plain copy also works.
The details of your household size
Where to find it: Your latest tax return (the dependents) and any earlier I-864 you signed.
Clear copies of each document, not originals
Where to find it: A copy shop, or your phone camera in good light with the whole document in the frame.

Only in some cases · 10

Proof that you are a citizen, national, or permanent resident
Joint or substitute sponsor; a petitioner who already sent it with the I-130 does not repeat it
Where to find it: Birth certificate, naturalization or citizenship certificate, passport page, or Green Card, both sides.
Copy of every W-2 and 1099 for that year
Only if you send a copy of your return instead of the IRS transcript
Where to find it: From your employer or whoever paid you; also in your IRS account.
The schedules from your return (Schedule C, D, E, or F)
Only if you are self-employed
Where to find it: They are part of your return; your tax preparer has a copy.
Returns for the last three years
Optional, if it helps show steady income
Where to find it: IRS transcripts for each year.
